Cohesive Athletic Tape

Cohesive athletic tape was developed for the equine industry for treating horses with ankle injuries. Cohesive tape only sticks to itself - not to the skin or in the case of a horse or an athlete, to hair. Cohesive athletic tape is used for a variety of purposes - it is very lightweight so it is sometimes used as a prewrap. It has a higher tensile strength than prewrap so often times it is used to provide support for a joint or to keep padding in place. Because it has no adhesive mass, cohesive tape performs very well in wet conditions. Miotech offers a number of brands in cohesive tape including Andover, Mueller, Cramer, Jaybird, BSN and Hartmann.
