Keep a Journal

Keeping a journal is a powerful tool to keep track of how you are doing. Even professional weight-lifters will keep journals on how they are making progress in their training program.

Tai Chi

Performing Tai Chi is an excellent mind-body motivational program.

Goals

Make reasonable goals for yourself. Remember, you can't run a marathon the first time you go out for a jog, but by setting smaller and more manageable incremental goals, you just might run a marathon before you know it! This applies to any goal, from losing weight to recovering from an injury.

Celebrate

Plan celebrations when you reach those goals. For example, treat yourself to a trip after you've reached the weight you've been trying to achieve.
